Foam Supplies Inc. has been a steward of the environment since our founding, and Ecofoam® is a great example of how that commitment continues on. Powered by our patented EPA SNAP approved Еcomate®blowing agent technology, ecofoam has no global warming potential (GWP), no ozone depletion potential (ODP) and is VOC-exempt, meaning it does not create smog.
Ecomate was first approved by the US EPA in 2003 to replace HCFCs and HFCs in all foam blowing end uses under the Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program. In commercial use since that time, Ecofoam® has proven to be superior to other polyurethanes made with HCFCs and HFCs. Ecofoam® also provides our customers’ products with a “green” competitive advantage, often while reducing overall costs and requiring little or no changes to production processes and equipment.

Ecofoam® Product Family

The ecofoam family of products is classified as Non-Hazardous according to DOT and OSHA Regulations, and is classified as Non-Flammable according to ADR and GHS (Global Harmonized System). Ecofoam® is available in various container types for shipping and storage, and has a shelf-life of six months. Please refer to the Technical Data Sheet for specific storage and handling details.
The Ecofoam® family is compatible with high, low, and pressurized metering equipment.

Polyurethane foams are organic materials and therefore combustible under certain fire conditions. Ecofoam® is formulated so that it extinguishes once a flame source is removed from the surface.

Ecofoam® offers R-values up to 8.2 at 1″ thickness. Third-party testing has shown that ecomate blowing agent does not condense (begin to liquefy) at temperatures as low as -85°C / -121°F, thereby maintaining its insulating properties even at low temperatures.
